Necessary

Session, security, referral-session and consent-choice storage are used to operate the service and remember your privacy choices. If “Remember me” is selected, a necessary secure login token is stored on that device for up to 90 days. It contains no password, is replaced as it is used, and is revoked by sign-out, password reset, a security lock or a later password login on another device.

Optional analytics

With consent, ShowCarScan records coarse browser family, operating system, device class, language, timezone, screen-size group, page path and referrer host. It does not use fingerprinting, precise GPS or cross-site tracking.

Personalisation and advertising

These remain off until consent. Advertising targeting uses declared car/profile data such as make, model and broad location. List any future advertising providers here before enabling them: [providers].
